+ Candle Frosting

Frosting is common in soy candles and here at Alla Luce we use 100% soy wax to create our candles. Frosting is the recrystallization in natural wax.

+ Pitted top after burning

Pitted top post burn occurs in natural candles, this does not affect the candles performance.

+ Candle Tips Lighting the candle

When lighting for the first time, burn the candle until the wax melts across the entire surface of the vessel. This will ensure an even burn and prevent tunneling.

Process may take up to 2-3 hours, but it will make your candles last longer.

+ Trimming the wick

Trimming your wick before every lighting is key to a healthy candle! We recommend trimming the wick to 1/4-in, this will prevent mushrooming, and black flames.

+ Extinguishing a candle

We recommend using a snuffer to extinguish candles, this will prevent splattering and smoking.

+ Placing candles

Placing a candle near open windows, fans, and near AC units can affect the candles burn, causing soot buildup (black smoke stains) around the container.
